This Privacy Policy describes how LightningHire ("we," "us") handles information when you use our website and services. By using LightningHire, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide (such as account details, job descriptions, resumes, and content you upload or enter for interview preparation). We also collect technical data needed to operate the service (such as device and browser type, general log data, and security-related signals).

How we use information

We use information to provide, maintain, and improve LightningHire; to personalize your experience; to communicate with you about your account and product updates; to protect against abuse; and to comply with law. Where we rely on AI features, inputs may be processed by our infrastructure and model providers solely to deliver the product you requested.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers who help us run the product (for example hosting, authentication, and AI inference) under appropriate agreements, and when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Retention & security

We retain information as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business and legal purposes. We use industry-standard safeguards, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain information. For your LightningHire account you can:

• Export your data — download a portable copy of your account data (resumes, applications, contacts, sessions, AI-generated artifacts, and more) from your Settings page.
• Delete your account — permanently remove your account and associated data from the same Settings page. This cancels any active subscription and removes your data from our primary systems immediately.
• Correct your information — update profile, email, and account details in Settings.
• Candidates: request removal from a recruiter's pipeline — if you are a candidate whose information was added to a LightningHire recruiter pipeline, submit a deletion request at /privacy/candidate-deletion. We will notify the responsible recruiter within one business day.
