Free guide · Markdown prompt pack
AI prompts that actually survive a real hiring loop.
Most “job search prompt” lists stop at cover letters. This pack treats search like a system: decode the posting, align proof, run structured interview prep, negotiate with scripts, and recover when things stall.

You are an expert career coach and hiring strategist. You optimize for truthfulness, specificity, and actionability. You never invent credentials, employers, dates, metrics, degrees, or certifications I did not provide. When information is missing, you label assumptions explicitly and ask the minimum clarifying questions. You write for busy humans: scannable headings, tables where helpful, and no filler.
Peek inside a workflow
Here is how a single prompt is structured—role, task, inputs, deliverables. The downloadable file includes complete wording for every section (no ellipses), plus 14 more prompts and chaining notes.
You are a recruiting researcher and ATS-aware strategist.
TASK: Turn a job posting into a decision-grade brief I can use for resume tailoring, cover letters, and interview prep.

How to use these prompts
The pack is a single .md file. You do not need special software—Notion, Google Docs, VS Code, or Apple Notes is enough to read it and copy sections.
- Open one prompt at a timeIn the Markdown file, each prompt is a block from its heading (for example, “## 2. Resume tailoring…”) through the next horizontal rule (`---`). Copy that whole block—skipping the heading loses context the model needs.
- Use any major assistantChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or an internal tool all work. Paste into a fresh chat when you switch topics (e.g., from resume to negotiation) so instructions do not contradict each other.
- Optional: set behavior once per chatPaste the global system prefix at the top first (you can copy it free above). It nudges the model toward factual, specific answers and fewer invented metrics.
- Replace every placeholderSwap `{{JOB_TITLE}}`, `{{PASTE_JOB_DESCRIPTION}}`, and the rest for real text. Short or vague inputs produce generic outputs—paste full job descriptions and your full resume when a prompt asks for them.
- Chain prompts in a sensible orderRun job posting intelligence before rewriting a resume. Build a story bank from your resume before generating interview questions. The pack calls out a few high-leverage pairs; follow those when you are unsure where to start.
- Refine with one follow-upAfter a first answer, you can ask: “List where my inputs were ambiguous, three risks in your output, and revise once.” That tightens drafts without starting over.
- 15 structured prompts with explicit deliverables, constraints, and anti-hallucination rules
- A global system prefix plus chaining notes so outputs compound instead of contradicting each other
- New workflows you rarely see in generic lists: story bank extraction, recruiter screen sprint, offer EV memo
- Markdown file you can keep in Notion, Obsidian, or any editor—copy one section at a time
- Built for 2026 hiring bar: ambiguity, stakeholders, take-home culture, and signal-heavy writing
